Pain, injury and rehabilitation

Orthopedic physiotherapy in Ashkelon

Assessment and care for musculoskeletal pain, sports injuries and post-operative recovery, with a plan linked to your function and the goals that matter to you.

What can be assessed and treated?

Back and neck pain; shoulder, elbow and hand conditions; hip, knee, ankle and foot problems; overuse injuries; and rehabilitation toward a safe return to activity.

Pain is only part of the picture

The same pain can arise for different reasons, so treatment is not determined only by the diagnosis or the location of symptoms. During your appointment, we examine how the symptoms behave, which movements or loads affect them, and what keeps you from working, exercising, sleeping or completing everyday activities.

The assessment combines a detailed conversation, observation of movement and relevant clinical tests. The findings are then explained, goals are defined, and together we decide what to address in the clinic and what to practise at home.

Common conditions

  • Lower back, upper back and neck pain.
  • Shoulder pain, difficulty lifting the arm or recovery after surgery.
  • Knee, hip, ankle and foot pain.
  • Running, strength-training and sports injuries.
  • Rehabilitation after a fracture, immobilization, surgery or a period of inactivity.
  • Muscle and tendon pain, repetitive strain and stiffness.

What may treatment include?

Treatment is tailored to the assessment findings and may include mobility and strengthening exercises, gradual exposure to load, manual therapy, balance and movement-control work, and guidance on managing activity. When clinically appropriate and safe, dry needling may be incorporated as part of orthopedic rehabilitation and musculoskeletal pain care.

Exercise progresses gradually according to your response and your goal, whether that is walking without restriction, climbing stairs, returning to work, lifting, running or getting back to sport.

Dry needling as part of rehabilitation

Osnat has completed advanced dry-needling training. When clinically indicated, the technique may be used as an adjunct for pain and musculoskeletal symptoms alongside exercise, graded loading and education.

Dry needling is not automatic treatment or a goal in itself. The decision to use it follows assessment, explanation and screening for contraindications, and takes account of the patient’s preferences and rehabilitation goals.

After surgery: Please bring your discharge letter, the surgeon’s instructions and any restrictions concerning weight-bearing, range of motion or loading.

Rehabilitation that fits your life

A good plan should be clinically sound and realistic. We select a focused set of exercises, monitor your response and adjust the load as you progress. The aim is to build capacity and confidence in movement, not long-term dependence on treatment.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need an X-ray or MRI before the appointment?

In most cases, a clinical assessment can begin without imaging. If imaging has already been performed, bring the report. If the findings suggest that further investigation is needed, you will be advised to contact the appropriate medical professional.

Can I come while I am in pain?

Yes. However, if the pain is unusually severe, began after significant trauma or is accompanied by concerning symptoms, seek medical advice first. When booking, you can briefly describe the situation.

When can I return to sport?

Return is based on the type of injury, the demands of the sport and your ability to perform relevant loads in a controlled way. It is generally a staged process rather than a decision based on time alone.
